Rubber Coated Fabrics Since its establishment in 1856, Phoenix has been manufacturing coated fabrics which are now used worldwide in both the technical and automotive industries. The wide range of fabrics available includes those for hazard protection suits, life rafts, civil and defence applications, lifejackets and medical uses. All standard fabrics, such as cotton, polyester, or polyamide are coated with many types of rubber including NR, CSM and IIR. For protective materials, synthetic fabrics and rubber types, in conjunction with foils, are used exclusively.
Rubber Sheeting Phoenix manufactures an extensive range of rubber sheetings for gaskets and packings, scrapers and linings, spring elements and membranes. They are made from various materials including NR, EPDM, neoprine and nitrile, which offer resistance to a wide range of chemicals including acids and alkalis, hydrocarbons, alcohols, esters, ketones, oils and steam. Information sheets are available to show the resistance values to the most commonly used chemicals |
